Inspiration doesn't show up on schedule. A practice does. Every month we meet live for one hour: a theme, twenty minutes of creating together on whatever you're making, and a conversation — then a note from the studio every week to keep you going.

What membership includes
Sixty minutes on Zoom, first Thursday of the month at 12:00 pm ET. A theme, twenty minutes of making together — Damian working in his studio, you on your project — and a reading to talk through.
An email every Tuesday: one idea from the week's work, one thing worth looking at, and a thought to carry into whatever you're making.
Every session, recorded and captioned, with timestamps and notes. Miss one live? It's waiting for you. Join in month six and month one is still there.
How a session runs
This isn't a lecture you watch. For twenty of the sixty minutes, everyone on the call is making something — Damian in his studio, you at your desk, your page, your canvas — and the shared energy of a room full of people creating is the point.
The library
Every session is recorded and added within 24 hours, with captions and chapter markers. The library grows by one every month — here's the first season.

Damian's paintings — most recently the Angels & Ghosts series in oil on linen and panel — have been shown in museums including the Gibbes Museum of Art (Damian Stamer: Ruminations, 2023). Creativity Academy is the room he wished existed when he was starting out: not a course you finish, but a place you return to.

Every month, 10% of Creativity Academy's profits is donated to creative individuals and to the institutions that foster and showcase creative endeavors — artists, writers, small galleries, community studios, programs that put work in front of people.
Your membership keeps your own practice alive and, in a small way, someone else's. Members hear where each month's gift went in the weekly note.
Questions
Yes. Every session is in the library within 24 hours, captioned, with chapter markers. Submit your question ahead of time and it gets answered on the recording.
Damian happens to be a painter, but the sessions are about creative practice itself — starting, sustaining, finishing, judging your own work. Writers, designers, photographers, musicians, makers of any kind are welcome and expected. Bring whatever you're making.
One focused hour plus a weekly prompt is more sustained attention than most people give their practice in a year. The monthly rhythm is deliberate: long enough to make something between sessions, short enough that you never lose the thread.
Zoom on any device and whatever you make work with. You're never on camera or on mic — you join, you post in the chat when you like, and you work. Nobody is watching you create.
Choose a month or a year, enter the recipient's name and email, and pick the date the card should arrive. Their membership starts when they accept it. A gifted month doesn't auto-renew; a gifted year runs for twelve months. Either can be extended by the recipient at any time.
